Community Projects – February 2005

In recent years Acanthus Ferguson Mann has developed a conservation team with a national reputation who have been responsible for winning prestigious awards including both the RICS Building Conservation and Craftsmanship Awards for the repair and adaptation of the Grade 1 listed Prior Park after extensive fire damage. We are passionately committed to safeguarding the long-term future of historic buildings and monuments through the careful conservation of their fabric and their appropriate conversion to meet contemporary needs with particular attention to detail. We lay great store by the preparation and use of Conservation Plans that systematically record, research and analyse the building or site that is then used to form the strategic framework for conservation and or alteration proposals that will direct future use and care of the site.

In addition to our own skills we are able to draw on the expertise of members of the Acanthus network, which includes several other leading national practitioners in the historic building field.
