Urban Design Projects – February 2005

Ferguson Mann Architects have since the late 1980’s worked on the development of master plans for urban areas. This has come from a firm belief within the practice that design lead proposals are key to successful place making for people. Places containing squares and spaces, that are a pleasure to be in, and are bordered by mixed activity, are the result of careful observation, and the practice’s extensive experience in this field. New development is designed to reinforce and reinvigorate local character. We work closely with planners, landscape practitioners and economists in the creation of new masterplans.

The success of new and transformed public places and spaces is dependent on the detail design and execution, to which we give particular attention.
